What did the Lebanese State do in January 2026?

In January 2026, the Lebanese state issued 260 legislative texts, including one reform amending the Public–Private Partnership law. More than half of the routine output was concentrated in three functions: citizenship approvals (mostly for Lebanese nationals acquiring Dutch citizenship), accepting contributions worth $3.6 million, and issuing 23 licenses to private businesses, schools, and more. Regulatory activity focused on cooperation agreements and loans for various projects, regulating the agricultural sector, and amending tax provisions and the 2025 budget. For more information, please refer to the memo for the month of January.
